16.03.2011 UNDP organizes press-lunch on problems of Baltic Sea on board of icebreaker 'Krasin' in St. Petersburg

The press-lunch The Baltic the sea of problems the sea of solutions, organized by United Nations Development Program holds the press meeting with the experts of the marine ecosystems conservation. During the press-lunch the following questions were discussed:

  • Will there be enough in our age of fish stocks? Fishermen and fish: where are we now and what to do now?

  • What is the greatest value of small islands?

  • Will the Baltic become the the Black sea?

  • Who really needs Ingermanlandsky nature reserve?

Is it possible to save the key ornithological territories of Golf of Finland at the present intensity of shipping?

On these and other questions the invited experts answered:

At the meeting there was a presentation of the festival full-length film about the problems of marine resources " THE END OF THE LINE of British filmmaker Rupert Murray, winning BIFA (British Independent Film) in  category "The Best Documentary".
