08.06.2011 UNDP opens Marine Wildlife Photo Exhibition on the World Oceans Day in St. Petersburg
On 8 June, the Oceans day is celebrated all over the world. On this day scientists, politics and other people unite their activities to save ocean’s fauna and flora.
UNDP project “Strengthening the marine and Coastal protected Areas of Russia” in cooperation with St. Petersburg Oceanarium opens unusual photo exhibition in ‘Neptun Planet’ Trade Centre. The specialness of the exhibition is the fact that all authors are people whose life is connected with marine protected areas.
‘By opening this exhibition we’d like to show the marine wildlife of nature reserves through the eyes of those who work there, - says the manager of the project, Dmitry Kryukov. – The photos you will see were taken in two unique Far East places: the Coast of Japanese Sea and Commander islands.
The exhibition will last until the end of October, 2011.
