09.02.2012 For the first time in Russia UN Global Compact Dilemma Game was presented

For the first time in Russia the UN Global Compact Network Russia with the support of Moscow International Higher Business School MIRBIS made presentation: UN Global Compact. Dilemma Game". 37 representatives from academic institutions, business community, NGOs and UN specialists participated in the event.

Interactive business game Dilemma was intentionally developed for the UN Global Compact by Responsible Business Solutions (now an integrated part of KPMG). The purpose of the game is to increase knowledge and understanding of the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact. Though the game, participants tried to handle a series of challenging dilemmas covering human rights, labor, environmental and anti-corruption issues. It is necessary to mention that all the dilemmas of this game are based on real life issues experienced by businesses. During the game participants had the opportunity to experience issues from different perspectives, including a decision maker and five stakeholders (employee, customer, shareholder, community representative and an NGO). Participants were also presented with examples of good and poor business practice as well as found out answers to questions based on the eight Millennium Development Goals.

Dilemma Game aroused keen interest and was recommended by the event participants for further use in academic institutions, including higher schools, when teaching corporate social responsibility (CSR) and business ethics as well as companies when training personnel such as CSR, PR and HR specialists.
