13.06.2010 Newspaper Conservation Area from Kamchatka peninsula won in The Best information printing competition.

In June 5-13 the 17th International conference of libraries took place in Crimea, Ukraine. The newspaper Conservation Area of UN/GEF project Demonstrating Sustainable Conservation of Biological Diversity in Four Protected Areas in Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula got the first prize as the best information printing on environment.

The project will help to secure the global benefits of preserving biological diversity in all protected areas in the Kamchatka Oblast by demonstrating replicable, sustainable approaches to biodiversity conservation in four existing representative protected areas. Its immediate objective is to demonstrate approaches for sustainable and replicable conservation of biodiversity in four different existing protected areas.
